5 Simple Ways to Create the Perfect Fall Table

Fall is right around the corner and I have already started placing the pumpkins and fall decor throughout our home! One thing I always do while decorating for Fall is set the table. Tablescapes create an inviting environment for anyone who comes over, plus you are always ready to host!

Here are 5 simple ways to create a Fall table whether you are hosting for Thanksgiving or a fall dinner these easy table settings are elegant and affordable.

1. Use the China Place Settings

How many of you received China place settings for your wedding or have been passed down to you? Yep, me too. How many of you have it sitting in a China cabinet or cupboard and have never used it? Don't be afraid to use it! That is why it was purchased, not to collect dust, but to create a beautiful table setting. I use mine for every dinner party we host, including creating my fall table. If you don't have China, pull out your nicest dishes, and don't be afraid to mix and match.

2. Set out Candlesticks

Adding candlesticks to any tablescape makes it feel elegant and special. You can use the candlesticks as a pop of color or stick with the simple white ones while adding color in other places on your table.

3. Add Seasonal Stems to a Vase

Keep it simple by adding seasonal stems to a vase. Faux stems from your local HomeGoods or Michaels are a great option or you can bring the outside in by cutting stems from your yard. This also will provide a pop of color on your table that your guests are sure to love.

4. Include Textures and Patterns

You can choose to use napkins with different patterns and don't be afraid to mix and match with different patterned napkins and table cloth. You can also include textures like the beaded garland we used to run through the middle of the table. Remember, this is your table and as long as you love it, that is all that matters.

5. Incorporate Seasonal Pieces

Don't be afraid to play off the Fall theme by adding faux pumpkins to hold down the napkins or add a few pumpkins from around the house to the center of the table. We have even grabbed a few real pumpkins from the front porch to include on the table for a Fall dinner party.

Just remember, you don't have to break the budget to create a warm and inviting table for your loved ones! Get creative with what you already have, light the candles, and enjoy each other this Fall season!
